Washing

1. (Optional) To prevent hair loss & strengthen hair, give your scalp a warm oil massage with rosemary & coconut oil a few hours prior.

2. Shampoo roots, massaging in with fingertips, not nails, & condition midlengths to ends. Rinse & pull out excess water.

3. (Optional) for thick hair, wrap in a super absorbent hair towel first. It evenly dries hair. Leave for 30 mins to 1 hr.

4. Wrap in a silk hair towel to prevent frizz & breakage. Dry for 20 mins to overnight depending on hair thickness.

Sleeping with Wet Hair

  • Hair is weakest when wet, so to prevent hair breakage from friction against your pillowcase, dry hair before sleeping OR
  • Wrap hair in a silk hair towel OR
  • For really thick hair, wrap in a super absorbent hair towel (Make sure that your roots aren't being pulled on as this can cause hair loss)
  • (Optional) Braid hair loosely and secure with a silk scrunchie before wrapping in a hair towel

Sleeping with Dry Hair

1. Sleeping on a regular pillowcase causes hair friction and therefore frizz, loss and breakage, so sleep on a silk pillowcase.

2. Loosely braid hair and secure with a silk scrunchie to prevent breakage from tangling.

3. (Optional) For hair prone to frizz, cover with a silk cap OR wrap in a silk hair towel, with the silk side facing your hair.
